Share to Postworthy

Turn any article or screenshot into a LinkedIn post — right from your phone. When you find something worth talking about, share it to Postworthy with your take. We’ll turn it into a post that sounds like you.

How it works

Step 1

Share something

Reading an article or see a great chart? Tap the share button and pick “Share to Postworthy.”

Step 2

Add your take

Type or dictate a quick note — your angle, a reaction, why it matters. Even a sentence is enough.

Step 3

Get a draft

Postworthy turns your take into a LinkedIn-ready post, matched to your voice and expertise.

Setup (2 minutes)

1

Get your API key

Go to Settings in Postworthy and find the Share to Postworthy section. Tap Generate API Keyand copy the key. You’ll need it in the next step.

Your API key is shown only once — copy it before leaving the page. If you lose it, generate a new one from Settings. Don’t share your key with anyone. If you think it’s been compromised, regenerate it immediately from Settings.

2

Install the shortcut

Tap the Install Shortcut button in Settings (or below). When iOS asks to add the shortcut, confirm by tapping Add Shortcut.

During setup, the shortcut will ask you to paste your API key. Paste it and tap Done. This only happens once — the key is saved inside the shortcut.

The first time you share, iOS will ask to allow the shortcut to connect to postworthy.ink. Tap Allow — this only happens once.

3

Try it out

Open Safari (or any app with a share button), find an article, and tap Share Share to Postworthy. Type or dictate your take, and you’re done.

You’ll get a notification confirming the capture. Your post will show up in your Postworthy dashboard, usually within a few hours.

One more thing: The shortcut starts at the bottom of your share sheet. To move it up: open the share sheet, scroll down, tap Edit Actions, and drag Share to Postworthy to the top. You only do this once — it stays where you put it.

Tips for great captures

Share your reaction, not a summary

Postworthy reads the article for you. What it needs is your perspective — why this matters, what people get wrong, what it reminds you of.

One sentence is enough

“This validates what I’ve been saying about X” or “Most people miss the Y angle here” — that’s plenty to build a post from.

Dictation works great on the go

Tap the microphone on your keyboard instead of typing. Speak your take in 10 seconds while it’s fresh.

Screenshots work too

See a great chart, a social post, or a slide worth reacting to? Share the screenshot from your Photos app. Postworthy handles images alongside URLs.

Share anything with a URL

Articles, newsletters, podcast episodes, LinkedIn posts, tweets — anything with a link. If it has a URL, Postworthy can work with it.

Troubleshooting

I can't find 'Share to Postworthy' in my share sheet

The shortcut starts at the bottom of the actions list. Scroll down — it’s there. To move it up permanently: tap “Edit Actions” at the bottom, find “Share to Postworthy,” toggle it on if needed, and drag it to your preferred position.

I get an 'Invalid API key' error

Your key may have been regenerated. Go to Settings in Postworthy, generate a new key, then delete and reinstall the shortcut with the new key.

The shortcut says 'Could not connect to the server'

Check your internet connection. If the problem persists, Postworthy may be temporarily unavailable — try again in a few minutes.

Screenshot sharing isn't working

Make sure you’re sharing the image from Photos or your screenshot preview. Some apps pass images in formats the shortcut can’t read. If it fails, save the image to Photos first, then share from there.

I hit the daily capture limit

The shortcut allows up to 20 captures per day. If you're hitting this regularly, let us know — we can adjust it for your account.

Can I use this on my iPad or Mac?

Yes. The shortcut works on any Apple device with the Shortcuts app. On Mac, you can also share from Safari and other apps.

Ready to get started?

Head to Settings to generate your API key and install the shortcut.
